Universal Assignment - Empowering Communities, Transforming Lives
Universal Assignment is a community-focused organization founded in 2018, dedicated to building stronger communities and empowering individuals to reach their full potential. We believe that lasting positive change happens when we invest in children, youth, and women, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive. Since our inception, we believe
implemented impactful projects in Ntchisi, Salima, and Lilongwe, demonstrating our commitment to serving diverse communities across Malawi. Our work is driven by a deep commitment to the communities we serve. We understand that
each community is unique, and we tailor our programs to address specific needs and challenges. We focus on creating sustainable solutions that foster self-reliance and long-term
growth. A key part of our current focus is developing critical community resources, including an Early Childhood Development Center, a Youth Recreational Hub, and a Vocational Training Center.
We are passionate about empowering children through access to quality education and nurturing environments. Our planned Early Childhood Development Center will provide a safe and stimulating space for the youngest members of our community to learn and grow, laying a strong foundation for their future. We support youth by providing opportunities for development through sports, entrepreneurship training, and educational support. Our envisioned Youth Recreational Hub will offer a positive and engaging space for young people to connect, develop
their leadership skills, and participate in constructive activities. We champion women's
empowerment by offering skills training, economic opportunities, and platforms for leadership.
Our planned Vocational Training Center will equip individuals with practical skills, empowering
them to achieve self-sufficiency and contribute to the local economy.
Our agricultural farm not only provides food security and employment but also serves as a training ground for sustainable farming practices. We also host a Bonanza every year, celebrate our achievements, raise funds, and connect with the community fostering unity.
At the heart of Universal Assignment are our core values: loyalty, discipline, hard work, unity, and family. These principles guide our actions and shape our relationships with the community.
We are committed to working with integrity, transparency, and a deep respect for the individuals we serve.

BACKGROUND
Ntcheu District in Malawi
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Ntcheu is a district located in the central region of Malawi. It borders Dedza to the north, Zomba and Balaka to the south, Mozambique to the east, and Blantyre to the west. Ntcheu’s strategic position along the main road that connects Malawi to Mozambique makes it a key area for trade and agricultural activities (National Statistical Office, 2018).
DEMOGRAPHICS & POPULATION
According to the 2018 Malawi Population and Housing Census, Ntcheu has an
approximate population of 742,000 people, with the majority living in rural areas (National Statistical Office, 2018). The population is ethnically diverse, with the Chewa and Ngoni being the predominant groups. The district has a higher proportion of females than males, which is common in many parts of Malawi. Ntcheu’s population growth rate is high, contributing to challenges in resource management, including land, healthcare, and education. Additionally, there are significant pressures related to providing services such as water, electricity, and roads due to the expanding
population (National Statistical Office, 2018).
